Tarangire is the park most visitors underestimate. In the dry season the Tarangire River is the only water for miles, and elephants, giraffes, zebras and buffalo gather along its banks in huge numbers.
Ancient baobab trees, some of them hundreds of years old, give the park its unmistakable look. It is also one of the best parks in Tanzania for birds.

Questions sur Parc national de Tarangire
Is Tarangire worth a full day?
Yes — especially from June to October. It is also a great first stop on the way to Ngorongoro and the Serengeti.
Are there tsetse flies?
Some, in wooded areas. Wear light, neutral colours and avoid dark blue and black.
